What we cannot investigate

We cannot do the following:

  • consider concerns about professionals not registered with us;
  • consider concerns about organisations (we only deal with concerns about individuals)
  • get involved in clinical care or social care arrangements;
  • change decisions made by other organisations;
  • deal with customer service or consumer issues;
  • get involved with matters which should be decided by a court, including dissatisfaction with evidence given by a professional in court;
  • get a registered professional or organisation to make changes to a report;
  • arrange refunds or compensation;
  • fine a professional;
  • give legal advice; or
  • make a professional apologise.
