New programme leaders: no longer a major change

If you change the person with overall professional responsibility for your programme, you no longer need to report it to us as a major change for us to assess. Instead, you simply need to provide us with their contact details so that we can update our records.

When the Education and Training Committee revised the standards of education and training, they changed SET 3.3 to ensure education providers select a programme leader with appropriate skills, knowledge and experience. We no longer make a judgement on the suitability of the person.

We will assess programmes against this standard through our routine annual monitoring  assessments.
