Professional bodies typically promote the profession, represent their members and provide curriculum frameworks, training and CPD.

This study aims to generate descriptive statistics for different features of the HCPC’s Fitness to Practise processes and to address some specific questions regarding the factors which impact on costs.

We have significantly expanded the role of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), placing specific importance on making sure that practice is inclusive for all service users. This is one theme within the key changes to the updated standards of proficiency for all professions. 

The Health and Care Professions Council has recently revised our standards for prescribing, following a public consultation. The revised standards took effect on 1 September 2019.
