Protect yourself and others with the flu vaccination

02 Oct 2020

This year, with the circulation of coronavirus, flu vaccination is more important than ever.

As a health and care professional, you are more likely to be exposed to flu, especially if you work directly with the public. It is possible to have the flu without any symptoms and risk passing it on to those around you without knowing.

As we approach winter and as you come into contact with members of the public, service users and patients, we encourage you to get the flu jab. The earlier you do this the better.

How to get your flu jab

You may be eligible for a free flu jab through your employer if you work for the NHS. Alternatively, check with your GP surgery or local pharmacy.

Please visit the NHS website for more information.

Public Health England are offering posters, leaflets and information sheets to encourage take up. You can download the various resources on offer at Health and Social Care Workers Flu Immunisation Campaign.
