Following discussions with DHSC and the Scottish Government, a fee rise of £18.24 is expected to come into effect on Thursday 9 November 2023, following parliamentary approval processes in Westminster and Scotland.
The necessary legislation to implement the new fee has been approved by the relevant Committees in the Scottish Parliament and now awaits final confirmation in the UK Parliament.
This increase will mean we can continue to protect the public and invest in planned improvements to our service. We will review our fees periodically in the context of our commitment to high quality regulation and long-term financial stability.
